Alarm Services Installer

Job Description

The Alarm Services Installer is responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial alarm systems. This role involves configuring security equipment, testing system functionality, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The installer will work directly with customers to assess their needs, provide guidance on system usage, and deliver exceptional service throughout the installation process.

Skill Requirements
  • Install, program, and troubleshoot alarm systems and related security equipment.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of sensors, control panels, and cameras.
  • Perform routine maintenance and respond to service calls to resolve technical issues.
  • Educate clients on system operations and provide ongoing support as needed.
  • Ensure all work adheres to local codes and company policies, prioritizing safety and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with team members and other trades as required to complete projects efficiently.
Basic Qualification
  • Experience in alarm system installation or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position may require work outside standard business hours and occasional on-call availability. Familiarity with Canadian building codes and security standards is an asset.
